Bringing up the rear…
Last weekend the Albert Sailing Club held its Annual General Meeting. On the whole it is a pretty sedate afair. While we didn’t have any of the committee positions contested we do have a committee full of dedicated people. I have been on the committee for a number of years, mainly working behind the scenes.…

Friday Photo
This photo was taken at Albert Park Lake from an observation tower near the edge of the shore. The lake has concrete walls and the sailors know that they can sail right up to the edge, allowing you to take shots that look as though they are from directly above.

This photo was taken of a tree that had recently been cut down. The gum tree was already sprouting new growth.

Using the Sunbeam Snowy
Just recently I got given a Sunbeam Snowy and tried out by making one of the ice cream recipes in the manual. The first thing I realised with this when I read the manual is that this product requires a lot of forethought and preperation. The most obvious thing is that the freezer canister needs…

Friday Photo
This spider had made it’s web across a path that we were walking along. He was found along the walk from Bittangabee Bay to Saltwater Creek in Southern NSW. Along the way their were heaps of spiders, obviously we were the first people to walk along the path for the day.

Apple’s Bootcamp, good or bad for Apple Developers?
As a independent Mac developer and a .Net development as a contractor I was interested in the bootcamp release from Apple. For contract work I lug around a PC Notebook and do Mac development on a desktop machine. The MacBook Pro seems like a sweet little machine, but until people were able to boot Windows…

Attack of the Mantis!
I have noticed in the last couple of months that there are heaps of praying mantis around the place. I don’t know what is attracting them to our yard, but I heard they go after avids that live on our roses. It is always cool to see around the place.
