Over the last month I made the mistake of believing that I could transfer my website between the Christmas and New Year break. This included getting the registration for the domain transfered as well. This took a bit longer than I expected, and the transfer finally completed while in the middle of a trip through Vietnam.
Now everything is back online, I have moved my hosting to Dreamhost from Linuxwebhost. Unfortunately Linux Web Host never upgraded their plan or the machine that the site ran on, and what was good in 2000 is shamefully inadequate today. Hopefully Dreamhost will not suffer the same problem.
As always the upgrading of WordPress was easy and the site is now up and running with the latest and greatest version (2.1).
