On the whole it is a pretty sedate afair. While we didn&#8217;t have any of the committee positions contested we do have a committee full of dedicated people.<\/p>\n<p>I have been on the committee for a number of years, mainly working behind the scenes. Last year I was the Club Captain, basically looking after the racing side of things at the club. This year I have stepped up to the position on rear commodore. For those people who don&#8217;t know the structure of yacht clubs, the rear commodore is third in command (behind the commodore and vice commodore). The rear commodore&#8217;s role is\u00c2\u00a0 to look after the sailing activities of the club.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like it is going to be a good year as the club strengthening its position in the last couple of years.
